At a Portuguese Restaurant

At a Portuguese Restaurant

A group of students from Escola da Ponte is having dinner at a typical Portuguese restaurant. They have invited their friends from Luxembourg, Germany, Netherlands and Greece to taste Portuguese delicious food.

Waiter: Good-evening! Can I help you?
Portuguese student: Yes, please. We would like to see the menu.
Waiter: Wait a minute, please. Here you have!
Greek: Thank you! Let me see… I’d like boiled potatoes with all kinds of meat and kale. I also want to drink Port wine.
Dutch: I’d like Tripas à moda do Porto and to drink water.
Portuguese students: We want Rojões for everybody! To drink, we want orange juice!
German: What’s Rojões?
Portuguese student: It’s a pork dish made with large cubes of meat. It’s delicious!
Luxembourger: I’d like the famous chicken rice with chicken blood. And to drink, white wine.
Later…
Waiter: Would you like anything for dessert?
Luxembourger: Can you help us choosing?
Portuguese students: Portuguese custard tarts for everyone!
Later…
Portuguese student: So, what do you think of Portuguese food?
All Comenius partners: Delicious!
